Welcome to Boop! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Boop mobile application ("App") and related services. By using Boop, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Boop, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Boop is a mobile application that connects users with adoptable pets from animal shelters and rescue organizations. The App allows users to:

  • Browse adoptable cats and dogs based on location
  • Save and organize favorite pets
  • Contact shelters and rescue organizations
  • Find pet-friendly locations for playdates

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm shelters, rescue organizations, or other users
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Use the App to collect data about other users without consent
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

5. Pet Adoption

5.1 Third-Party Services

Boop facilitates connections between users and animal shelters/rescue organizations. We do not own, operate, or control these organizations. The adoption process, fees, and requirements are determined solely by each organization.

5.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee the availability, health, temperament, or suitability of any pet listed in the App. Pet information is provided by shelters and may not always be accurate or up-to-date.

5.3 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any pet and for all decisions related to pet adoption.

6. Content and Data

6.1 Pet Data

Pet listings and information are provided by third-party sources, including RescueGroups.org. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of this data.

6.2 User Content

Any content you submit through the App (such as messages to shelters) must comply with these Terms and applicable laws.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding third-party pet data), is owned by Boop and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App without our written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 "As Is" Service

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9.2 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boop and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Any issues arising from pet adoptions
  • Interactions with shelters or other users
  • Loss of data or service interruptions

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Boop and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
