How do I find pets near me?
When you first open Boop, we'll ask for location permission. Enable location services to see adoptable pets in your area. You can also adjust your search radius in the settings to see more pets.
How do I contact a shelter about a pet?
Tap on any pet to view their full profile. At the bottom, you'll find contact options including phone number, directions, and email for the shelter.
Why did a pet disappear from the App?
Pets are removed when they're adopted, pending adoption, or the shelter updates their availability. This is a good thing — it means they may have found their forever home! Check back often as new pets are added daily.
Can I save pets I'm interested in?
Yes! Swipe right on any pet you like, and they'll be added to your Matches. You can view all your saved pets in the Matches tab and contact their shelters whenever you're ready.
Is Boop free to use?
Yes! All core features are completely free. You can browse pets, save favorites, and contact shelters without any subscription or payment.
How do I switch between cats and dogs?
On the main swipe screen, tap the pet icon in the top left corner to switch between viewing cats and dogs. Your preference is saved automatically.
The App isn't loading any pets. What should I do?
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Check your internet connection
- Make sure location services are enabled for Boop
- Try expanding your search radius in settings
- Pull down to refresh the pet list
- Close and reopen the App

How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all associated data through the App. Go to Profile, then Settings, then tap "Delete Account." For more information, see our Account Deletion page.
Can I use Boop outside the United States?
Currently, Boop primarily features pets from US shelters and rescues through our partnership with RescueGroups.org. We're working on expanding to more regions in the future.

Boop displays pets from RescueGroups.org. If you're a shelter or rescue organization and want your pets featured in Boop:
- Create an account at RescueGroups.org
- Add your available pets to your RescueGroups account
- Your pets will automatically appear in Boop!
